Finding your way around the platform

Role-based panels, real-time messaging, notifications, languages and account security: a map of the areas you will use every day.

Your panel depends on your role

FreelasNow has separate areas for each type of account. Clients use the client panel, freelancers use the freelancer panel, and the administration and support teams have their own areas. You do not need to memorise addresses: when you open the main dashboard, the platform sends you automatically to the area that matches your role.

The panel is where your projects, proposals, contracts, conversations and account settings live.

Messaging

Chat is real time: messages appear on the other side without reloading the page. Each message can hold up to 2,000 characters β€” if you need to explain something long, split it into parts or attach a document.

  • Attachments: files up to 10 MB.
  • Audio messages: webm, ogg, mp4, wav and m4a formats, up to 50 MB.
  • Video calls: available directly on the platform.

If the other person is offline when you write, they receive an email notification, so there is no need to resend the same message several times.

Keep conversations on the platform

Messages pass through an automatic check that detects email addresses, phone numbers and references to WhatsApp, Telegram, Skype, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, as well as phrases inviting people to continue the conversation off the site. The message is still delivered, but it is flagged and moderators are notified; the incident is recorded and reviewed by an administrator. Once a project is completed, this check no longer applies β€” exchanging contact details after the work ends is allowed.

Notifications

You get in-app alerts when something important happens: a new proposal, a message, a status change. If you are offline, message alerts also reach you by email. It is worth checking notifications before you start the day; they are usually the fastest route to whatever needs your attention.

Interface language

The platform is available in five languages: Brazilian Portuguese, Portuguese, English, Spanish and French. Use the language selector to switch whenever you like; your choice is remembered for future visits.

Securing your account

Turn on two-factor authentication in your security settings. Setup uses an authenticator app: you scan a QR code and then confirm activation by entering a valid 6-digit code together with your current account password. With two-factor enabled, knowing your password alone is no longer enough to get into your account.
