Yes. Creating your account is free: you provide a name, email, country and password, accept the terms of use, and choose whether you join as a client or a freelancer. The free freelancer plan allows 30 proposals per week, 3 skills and 3 portfolio items. Higher plans raise or remove those limits.

The base price is US$ 20.00, and a fixed price of R$ 100.00 applies in Brazil. Brazilian accounts are charged through MercadoPago and accounts in other countries through Stripe. Verification is entirely optional: no freelancer needs it in order to use the platform, send proposals or work on projects.

The project is managed by the client who created it, and while it is still a draft you can change anything freely, since nobody else can see it. Once published, remember that freelancers price their proposals from what they read: if the scope changes meaningfully, describe the change in the text so new proposals reflect reality. After a proposal is accepted and the project moves to in progress, what was agreed should be handled directly with the freelancer in chat.

The platform fee ranges from 17% down to 5%, spread across seven tiers. It is not a flat rate: the percentage applied to the project depends on the history between that client and that freelancer. Every relationship starts at 17% and moves down as completed projects and amounts paid accumulate.

Open the security area of your account settings and start the setup. Scan the QR code shown on screen with any authenticator app that supports the TOTP standard. Then enter the six-digit code from the app and your current account password: both are required to finish enabling it.

Only the client or the freelancer who are parties to that contract. Nobody else can open a dispute on a contract they are not part of. A dispute is always started from the contract itself, never on its own.
